Life is not simple. Anyone who tells you differently is oversimplifying.
The drive to simplify ignores the specific nuances each problem presents and usually results in problems being obfuscated or superficially addressed, not solved. This essay explores applicable actions that respect the complexities of business decision-making by providing clarity, not simplicity.

If the past is not a good measure of the present or future, then what good is a résumé?
The problems of today are not the problems of yesterday nor will they be the problems of tomorrow. With this in mind, the traditional résumé does not do a very good job distinguishing between luck and expertise. This essay explores some of the issues with résumés and provides several tools managers can exploit to improve decision-making.

Answer Rushing, Answer Churning
Many of the "time" pressures in business that perpetuate sub par problem-solving and decision-making are not due to the shortage of time but to mismanagement. Problem-solving leadership addresses this problem by providing a framework in which quality problem solving and decisions (of consequence) can be made in a "reasonable" amount of time.

What's the Rush ... or is Rushing the Answer?
With preparation it is possible to establish a mental framework for timely decision-making. The preparation is found in thinking about the world and its possibilities.
